Discover Southeast Queensland's unique forest ecosystem
Welcome to Brisbane!
If you're keen head off the beaten tourist track in search of Southeast Queensland's pristine natural beauty, this is the tour for you. We'll skip the urban jungle and get an inside look at the real thing.
Our tour takes us deep into an incredibly diverse forest ecosystem. Lamington National Park is home to endangered species of animals, and it is a world heritage listed area.
Highlights of our tour may include walking to a magical water hole, exploring the nearby caves or visiting a beautiful waterfall. A backpack and rain poncho will be provided if required, as well as comfortable transportation and a packed lunch. I will point out native bush foods found in this area.
We'll begin our tour from the cruise ship port. After a brief introduction, we'll be on our way to Lamington National Park, or Springbrook National Park. If your time has been limited on the day, we may go to Mount Tambourine instead.
After an hour and a half of travel, we'll reach the rainforest mountains.
Tramping through the bush can work up an appetite, so we'll stop for a nice packed lunch before continuing to the end of the walk.
Its a time to enter the exquisite beauty of the forest, and experince Australia as it was intended to be.

Excellent guide; Lucy was very knowledgeable and was also very accommodating to all of our needs. She also provided everything we needed for the trip, the box lunch was great and she knew where to she the wildlife as well as local plants. Lucy knew the ethnobiology of the flora with many interested facts on local indigenous plant use. Finally, Lucy accommodated both my wife and my individual needs dropping me off in the city and taking my wife back to the boat. The trip was a delight from start to finish.
