Fully-narrated six-hour driving tour for up to six guests
Enjoy the rocky coasts, sandy beaches, seaside villages and bustling shopping experience north of Boston, from the "other" cape in Massachusetts- Cape Ann, to the quaint city of Newburyport, where the Merrimack River meets the Atlantic and where Massachusetts meets New Hampshire.
Find original art in Rocky Neck in Gloucester, one of America's oldest working artist colonies. Browse the many antique dealers in Essex, and wander the quaint seaside shopping districts in Rockport and Newburyport. As you travel between them you'll view a varied coastline that includes spectacular sandy beaches, exquisite sand-grass wildlife preserves and a stunning coastal panorama. Stop for some "chowdah" or "lobstah"- even spend some time at the beach if you'd like.
I will help you customize your North Shore experience to your interests and well travel at a pace you will enjoy.
The numbers on the left indicate travel time, not hours by the clock. For example Plan A requires 5 hours of total travel, therefore 1 hour of "unstructured" time for shopping, strolling, antiquing, dining, etc. Plan B Requires 4 hours and 10 minutes of travel, therefore 1 hour and 50 minutes of "unstructured" time. Obviously, you'll see more with Plan A, but may feel rushed and tired of travel. Plan B is a bit more relaxed. Pick the plan that best suits your touring style.

We were very fortunate to secure the services of Peter for a second tour, this time Cape Ann, with stops in Gloucester, Rockport and Essex. Hotel pick-up, then about 40 minutes each way there and back. Excellent convos pre-trip to iron out the desired photo and Foodie stops. Peter recommended a wonderful spot for fried clams in Essex, (there were several choices), and what a great meal! Top notch driving, kind considerations, pleasant conversationalist made for a win=win local tour we will long treasure!
