Irish history in Boston, JFK, the Kennedys
Boston is the widely known as one of the most Irish cities in the United States. This tour will explore Boston and highlight the fascinating history of the great Irish-American people. Beginning in South Boston or "Southie", we can follow the Saint Patrick's Day parade route, see notable churches and cemeteries, and visit Castle Island, Florian Hall, and more. We can even take a look at more modern marvels related to famous Irish-Americans like the Gillette headquarters.
Our emphasis will then shift to the life of the Kennedy family. From the JFK birthplace in Brookline to Harvard to the JFK Museum to Holyhood Cemetery, this tour will explore the nearly every aspect of America's most famous family. If you would like, we are also able to drive south to Scituate, also known as the "Irish Riviera. " A Boston tavern or two are, of course, also available .
I am also able to offer an additional trip to Hyannis to visit the Kennedy summer home museum (additional charge and 4 hours).
Please see the tour description above for details and sequence. I can easily make adjustments and customizations based on your schedule and interests.

Although my wife and I have traveled to Boston before and taken several tours of the area this tour opened our eyes to so many beautiful sites and areas that we likely would never have seen otherwise. We witnessed, thanks to our knowledgeable and informed guide Lee, places we likely would have never found on our own or on another tour. Not only did he know the area, he had a keen awareness of great places to visit. He was prompt, courteous, and extremely professional and we highly recommend this tour!
