I am an American and have been living with a Frenchman since 1998. In 2003 I dragged him back to France with a baby in tow and the rest is history. Now that my children are older and attend school all day, I spend as much time as possible in cafés sipping espresso or wine. I have learned so much in my time here and I love sharing my experiences with curious travelers.
As a food enthusiast, I have made it my mission to discover the best that Bordeaux has to offer and I will share with you all of my favorite restaurants and gourmet shops. Whether you want fine dining or a riverside picnic, I know where to take you. I will help you avoid the tourist traps and only take you to the places appreciated by locals.
And of course I will show you the beautiful monuments and architectural highlights, making sure to tailor the tour to your interests.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect guide since Stephanie grew up in the US, married a Frenchman and has chosen to raise her children in Bordeaux. She is warm and spirited, speaks French like a native, is encyclopedic in her knowledge of Bordeaux and it's history, and can speak to the similarities and differences between French and American life, attitudes, politics, etc. She packed more into a day than could be imagined and we came away with a great appreciation of the region and its people.
