You have already made the very good decision to come to Bordeaux, now to find the perfect guide!
Once you experience a ToursByLocals private tour, you will never go back to the group tours run by guides who cover the same ground and tell the same story every day. With a private guide, the tour will reflect your individual interests allowing you to make the most of your time. My one and only goal is for you to enjoy yourself and hopefully fall in love with my city.
Of course I will show you the beautiful monuments and architectural highlights, making sure to tailor the tour to your interests. I can give you the dates and names of architects or I can simply tell you the anecdotes that make the monuments special to us. I absolutely will not let you leave Bordeaux without learning about the legendary Eleanor of Aquitaine, the most influential woman of the Middle Age who altered European history for centuries.
As a food enthusiast, I have made it my mission to discover the best that Bordeaux has to offer and I will share with you all of my favorite restaurants and gourmet shops. Whether you want fine dining or a riverside picnic, I know where to take you. I will help you avoid the tourist traps and only take you to the places appreciated by locals.
Now a little about me. . . .
I am an American living in France since 2003. I met my Frenchie husband in the US and as soon as we had our first child, I moved us all to France. We spent 4 years in Paris and after our second child, we decided to leave Paris and came to Bordeaux. It was the best decision of my life and now that my children are older and attend school all day, I spend as much time as possible in cafés sipping espresso or wine. I have learned so much in my time here and I love sharing my experiences with curious travelers. Bordeaux is a gorgeous city with so many layers of fascinating history. We are experiencing a renaissance here at the moment so it is the perfect time for you to come!
I hope you are excited about your upcoming trip to Bordeaux. There are so many wonderful things to see and experience and I am so excited to share them with you.

Delicious food, great wine and great conversation! We had a such a wonderful tour with Stephanie. She is very welcoming and makes you immediately feel as if you are meeting with a friend. Stephanie taught us historical facts of Bordeaux as well as what it is like to live in Bordeaux, all while enjoying delicious food and wine that the city has to offer. This tour was one of the most memorable parts of our trip and we now feel like we have a friend in Bordeaux.

I do not go to La Rochelle or Verdon-sur-Mer to pick up cruise ship passengers because these locations are 2 hours from Bordeaux.
