Enjoy the history of Bordeaux and discover its beautiful UNESCO waterfront
I will take you on a 2 hour walking tour of the historic part of the city which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city is home to more than 360 monuments (only Paris has more in France) with some buildings dating back to Roman times. The tour will help you enjoy some of the unique places and sites of the city.
After that we will have a tasty lunch in a traditional restaurant.
In the afternoon we will take a guided cruise on the Garonne river during the trip we will discover the fascinating history of the Bordeaux quays, in which the river and the local wine trade are intimately connected. Depending on the day of the week and the month there is a possibility for a trip with wine tasting or oysters and wine.
Please note that the schedule of the cruise on Bordeaux's river is changing according to the season demand. Also the tour can be shorter (4hours) if it starts after lunch time.
During the tour you will discover the historic city centre and its many hidden architectural showpieces. We will walk by the spectacular Place de la Bourse, the Bordeaux Cathedral St. Andre, La Grosse Cloche (The Great Bell), la tour Pey-Berland next to the Cathedral, Porte Cailhau, Grand theatre de Bordeaux, Les Quais and the Place des Quinconces.
After lunch in a nice French restaurant or after a patisserie, we will discover Bordeaux and its beautiful waterfront from a river cruise.
I will customise the tour depending on your interests and preferences.
I can always recommend you nice places for shopping or chilling out with a glass of wine or a fresh lemonade.
