Bologna, Italy

Ciao, Benvenuto in Italia I am an artist/foodie and I want to share my love for Italy and the city that inspires me, Bologna!

I love its long history, the winding medieval streets, the coffee shops, the art, architecture and museums, the fabulous food and wine. La dolce vita!
I arrived in Bologna as a tourist for the first time in 1998. The year before I lived in Florence, Italy and I was a student of printmaking experiencing that great art city during my year abroad. I graduated with a Fine Arts degree from The Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto, CANADA. I have also studied cuisine in a 1 year long Cooking course with certificate from Ecole Superieur de Cuisine Francaise, Paris FRANCE. I have worked in the food proffession (restaurant/bakery).
My nomadic lifestyle has given me the opportunity to see and live in great cities, Toronto, Paris, Kinshasa, Boston, Washington DC, Montreal, Florence and since 2003 I have called Bologna home.

I have been a tourist many times myself. From that experience I know how difficult it can be to find that perfect restaurant or to find that perfect souvenir. I'm always searching for that unique experience when abroad.
Having adopted Bologna as my home I know its hidden treasures…. Il bar, le osterie, le chiese, la gelataria, I portici, la piazza. I've designed these art and food tours to share that knowledge with you.
I cater to small groups 2-5 but I am very happy to organize for groups of up to 8. And I am always willing and able to PERSONALISE all tours.

It's all for you to discovery with me, a local expat artist/foodie. I can customize any tour to your needs and it will be your unique day in Bologna.

A Recent Review of this guide

Christina is lovely and gave us a thoughtful and well considered tour of this fabulous city. She is very knowledgable and kept asking whether there was anything else we wanted to see. We culminated with a delicious lunch. Money well spent. Thanks Christina
