I love to share nature, wildlife and local history via 4wd, hiking or kayak. My wife Rose is also a fourth generation New Zealander and was raised on a remote farm in the Marlborough Sounds of the South Island.
My grandfather Freeborn Parsons worked and farmed in this area after sailing from England with his new wife. My grandfather on my mother's side was a trader of flowers and produce in Canterbury.
My father Jim flew in the second World War but tragically died of polio shorty after I was born, my mother Jan lives in Blenheim.
Rose's grandfathers both farmed sheep and cattle in the Marlborough Sounds and her parents farmed all their their working lives near the French Pass before also retiring to Blenheim.
My interest are photography, local history and exploring and we are both passionate about conservation and tailoring a tour that surprises and exceeds clients expectations. I have been guiding for over 10 years and really enjoy the company of individuals or small groups in pursuing their passions.
I have traveled through the British Isles, South America, parts of Europe, the Mediterranean and the west coast of America. My wife and I particularly love Iceland.
A Recent Review of this guide
Will was an extraordinary guide with knowledge of the area that only someone who grew up in the area and is passionate about his work could have. He made our day together so memorable and fun.
