Historical and architectural tour
This 3-hour Private Walking Tour provides a more interesting perspective then a Car Tour. So let yourself be transported back in time. My explanations will help you relive the New-France History while recounting short anecdotes and the daily lives of our ancestors and how the city has evolved.
We will stroll around in the narrow streets of Historical Lower Town so you will have the chance to see where Quebec City was founded in 1608, and hear about 400 years of History. You will appreciate the historical figures on two magnificent wall paintings . You'll enjoy hearing about the lives of the people in Petit-Champlain neighbourhood.
Then we will visit Old Quebec. You will appreciate all its historical and romantic aspects, as the 18-century houses, and the prestigious Chateau Frontenac. You'll see the oldest family house north of Florida and the Latin Quarter.
During winter if you would prefer a 1 1/2 or a 2 hour-tour. Please tell me and I will prepare a customised tour (the price will be lowered).
Some of the places that we will see during the tour :
Samuel de Champlain's Monument
Remnants of a Historic Castle
Oldest house north of Florida
Longest running girl's school
The architecture of 3 magnificent buildings
City Hall and its garden
School of architecture and its courtyard

Diane is extremely knowledgeable and shared with us some of the best hard-to-find sites in the historic core of Quebec City. Diane's passion for history and her energetic personality made our tour memorable, informative and fun. She proactively called us to reschedule when a cold steady rain was predicted for our original tour date. If you are spending several days in Quebec, we highly recommend taking a tour with Diane to learn about the rich history, people, and culture of Quebec. Thanks, Chris
