Making Gelato & Pizza in a day!


What do kids and teens love most about Italy? Gelato & Pizza, of course! Give your children or grandchildren memories that will last a lifetime and a true taste of Italian culture. They'll make Pizza at one of the most famous parlor's in Italy with one of our favorite chefs in an authentic Italian kitchen. They'll experience the roar of a coal burning oven. After that they'll whip up a sweet treat in our favorite Gelateria.

Itinerary

Get picked up from your hotel in Rome or a train station within Rome's city limits.
Discuss historical sites as we drive by them on the way to the pizzeria.
Arrive at the pizzeria, meet the chef and get a brief overview of a typical Italian kitchen.
Eat the most amazing pizza you've ever had!
Venture to the Gelateria and sample some of their flavors.
Create the most delicious Gelato you've tasted while taking in the smells and sounds of Rome.
Then I will drop you off at your hotel or local train station in Rome.

Italy is known for its amazing pizza. The aroma of freshly grown ingredients, hand kneaded dough and the coal burning oven fills the air. Memories are made while family members come together to make the best personal pizzas they've ever experienced. Your children will never want to order another pizza once they get a taste of their creation.

Gelato Making:
Get a lesson in language, culture and culinary arts while learning to make real gelato. The word "gelato" simply means "frozen," so it is used for more than just Italian ice cream. "Gelato" is the past participle of the Italian verb "gelare," which means "to freeze,". They will learn the difference between gelato, semifreddo, sorbetto and a host of other common Italian phrases while mixing up one of the tastiest, all natural treats Italy has to offer.
