Private tour the best of Kona Tour with Turtles and free Photography

Kona is one of the most overlooked areas for historical sights in Hawaii. Kona was the original capital and primary residence for King Kamehameha I. We visit some significant little known sights in Kona then head to down Alli'i drive towards one of the oldest coffee farms in Hawaii, if you don't like coffee we can visit a cacao farm instead and sample some amazing and rare chocolate (closed Sat, Sun, Mon).

Some other stops include the famous Painted Church and Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. This park is without doubt the most significant Hawaiian Heritage site in all of the Islands.

There is an optional stop to walk through a lava tube as well.

We also stop at Kealakekua Bay where Captain Cook fell on Feb 14th 1779. We view Cook Monument from across Kealakekua Bay a protected bay where the great British explorer met a violent death.

This is a private tour and can be customized, just contact me and tell me what you are looking for.

Last is the Home of the Turtles.

A Recent Review of this tour

5 out of 5! Jodi was extremely knowledgeable about the Big Island and shared a lot of information with us. We used her services for both Hilo and Kona so there were no repeats and we saw a tremendous amount. She is very customer service oriented and we appreciated all of her efforts.
