Bergen city centre is very compact with much to see and hear about within a short walking distance. I will take you on a 3 hour walking tour of the downtown heart of Bergen.
We will wander around Bryggen, a World Heritage Site, the Bergen Fortress area & stroll passed old wooden houses, chimney houses & along cobblestoned streets while hearing of Bergen's past & present. I can give you the history of the city from its founding in 1070, through the Middle Ages and WW2 to present day while answering any questions you may have about Bergen and Norway.
Tours can also be arranged to Fantoft Stave Church, Edvard Griegs villa & museum, to include the funicular railway & fjord tours in the surrounding area on request

Sue was a great guide! She was very accommodating and tailored our short tour to our group's interests. We enjoyed hearing a locals point of view and learned a lot about the city's history, people, culture and food. Thank you, Sue!
