I'm in Love with the Magical Berat - A Private tour from Tirana

Magic is real, you can feel it in the air. It is so old, over 2500 years old. It has a proper name, it's called Berat.
The town is surrounded by hills and mountains, which gives the impression of a "Huge Amphitheater" where the "local gladiators" are living in peace with Mother Nature.

Magic continues once you enter inside the Fortress overlooking the town, built by Illyrian Masters with big blocks of stone, which looks like a big "stage of a movie" from the ancient times. The locals are still living in their own little houses with small gardens where they grow fresh fruits and vegetables.
Down the hill, the cobble street lead the way to the heart of the Magic, the Mangalemi neighborhood. This is a rare example of an architectural character typical of the Ottoman period.

And then there's the The Medieval quarter, Gorica neighborhood with the stone bridge and more and more to visit in the town.

I think I've said a lot, I don't like to ruin this magic, let's go and explore it together….

Itinerary

Meeting with Dorian. Depart from the pier, from your hotel or your specified meeting place to reach the city of Berat. Short break on the way to the town.
We will start with the visit of the Castle. A nice easy walk around the castle where we can see a few Orthodox churches built on Byzantine style, the ruins of the White & Red Mosques, the Water cistern, and the Çeke Beni Rock. The Legend of the 2 Young Giants and the beautiful girl says …. .
A visit of Onufri Museum is planned during the tour, dedicated to the most famous Albanian icon painter from the 16-th century.
Our visits will continue with the lower part of the city, Gorica stone bridge and the Mangalem Quarter (From July 2008 was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List), which has a lot of houses built during the 18th century on Ottoman style.
We will continue our visits with the medieval quarter where to be visited are the King Mosque and the Helveti Teke. Optional, wine tasting in a local winery.
Late afternoon drive back to your place.
