The History of Belfast women tour
The HERitage Bus Tour was created to celebrate and promote women's valuable contribution to the development of Belfast. Hear the struggles of The Suffragettes, The hardships faced by the women who slaved in the mills, the creation of the Women's centres, Women in Nationalism and Unionism, the Education Reformers, the Trade Unionist and much more. We will stop at Conway Mill, which was one of the last linen mills to close. recently renovated is now a community hub.
Pick up at chosen destination, this will determine the route, & time. We will then pass trough all parts of the city, highlighting the main attractions and the women associated with them. We will stop at Conway Mill for 30 mins and also visit the grave of Winifred Carney, who fought in the 1916 Easter rising in the Dublin GPO. This is optional. If there is something else or someone else you are particularly interested in that can be accommodated
