The civil war through Beirut's landmarks
On a 3-hour walking tour in the Down Town area, you will travel in time from the "Christian East" to the "Muslim West" of Beirut, passing through the former Green Line that separated the capital for more than 15 years, between 1975 and 1990.
You will get to know the chronology of one of the cruelest wars in the Middle-East, its Lebanese and foreign actors and some insiders' stories about major events that shaped Beirut as we know it now.
Most importantly, we will discuss the reasons that lead to the war and what the Lebanese can expect from a country that is still "managed" by its former warlords.
You will be picked up from your hotel.
We will walk from Martyrs Square to Zeituna Bay, passing by Samir Kassir square, Etoile Square, Le Grand Theatre (The Egg), Riad El Solh Square, the Grand Serail, Banks Street and the Holiday Inn hotel.

Georges is an excellent guide and an outstanding narrator. Definitely he has enhanced our Beirut's experience to the highest limit. I recommend Georges to any seasoned traveller, particularly if he or she is interested in the recent Lebanon's history.
