Don't expect a "normal" storytelling where I would only show you the beauties of Beirut (you will still see many of the landmarks and highlights, of course!). It's a 5000 year-old city that is unbelievably complex, layered and clustered, with a lot of scars from the civil war but with a unique energy that I hope you will feel. I will therefore show you Beirut the way I see it, with a mix of happy and sad stories, but with a lot of fun!
Be prepared for some colorful words when telling you about politics, and superlatives when talking about ancient history, archaeology and recent art works.
I can also show you around Tyre, Mleeta, Qana, Saida, Byblos, Batroun, Tripoli, Baalbek, Qadisha Valley and some secondary archaeological sites in Akkar and Hermel regions. It would be my pleasure organizing for you trekking and skiing holidays, climbing, rappelling and caving events and some hikes in the most beautiful parts of Mount Lebanon.
I also love our local cuisine, so don't hesitate to ask me for culinary tours, wine tastings and cooking courses!
Hope to see you soon!
A Recent Review of this guide
If there is such a thing as a perfect guide, Georges would have to be it. He showed my wife and myself around his country as a host entertains friends. He provided an extraordinary insight into Lebanon's ancient and recent history, and took us to places a visitor might normally never see. Georges has the sort of lively intelligence which makes him stimulating and enjoyable company - fun to be with! We can't wait to return, there is so much more to see.
