As the Forbidden city was closed, Alex took us out to the far section of the Great Wall instead (Jinshaling - 2.5 hours drive) . This is the longest and least busy section of the wall and we spent 2.5 hours walking it, after catch a gondola up. The entrance was 60 yuan each and then another 60 yuan for the gondola. We really enjoyed this and got great photos without the crowds. We had a late lunch, and then drove the 2.5 hours back to Beijing. The car was modern and comfortable.
