A Private Tour from Killarney to the Beara Peninsula
The third and most southerly of Kerry's three peninsulas, The Beara Peninsula is no less beautiful a Peninsula than its two neighbours. Spreading both counties Kerry and Cork and much less travelled, this landscape is a gem. If you want to be 'off the beaten track' than this is the tour for you. Your tour will travel through the mystical town of Kenmare and along the northern edge of the Peninsula to Lauragh. A short diversion to Kilmacellogue Pier before you will go 'up the mountain' on the Healy Pass. The scenery at the top of the pass is awesome. At Adrigole we travel to the charming coastal village of Glengariff. An option to travel to nearby Garnish Island at this point. You will then go elevated again through the Caha Pass to Kenmare again, but then you will join the latter portion of the Ring of Kerry route at Molls Gap. Panoramic views of Killarney's lakes and mountains open up on our route back to Killarney. This is a full days tour of at least 8 hours. A day of stunning scenery!
The tour will last at least 7 hours but will travel at your pace. The route will be from Killarney to Kenmare, and then to Lauragh. You will then go through The Healy Pass, Adrigole and Glengariff. Lunch will be at Glengariff and there is the option of visiting Garnish Island. From Glengariff you will travel through the Caha Pass, through Kenmare and travel to Killarney via Molls Gap and Ladies View. There will be many photo stops enroute.
