See the main attractions and beautiful countryside loved by locals
The best of both worlds- historic sights and peaceful countryside in a 3 hour walk! Start and end with the city centre sights then escape the crowds to the beautiful parks, peaceful countryside, the canal and hills. On your return you could take tea or we can do so during your tour. Learn about the residents of the city- past and present! You will see many of the main attractions but also the views and areas of Bath which tourists often miss and locals love. Fantastic photo opportunities.
In a walk of approximately 2 and a half miles I will guide you to the attractions of the city centre then we will discover the area just beyond, which tourists often miss.
The walk includes Bath's longest and grandest Georgian street, film locations, Jane Austen's house, Sydney Gardens and the Holburne Museum, the picturesque Kennett and Avon Canal and its houseboats and locks, a stunning view of Bath, the River Avon, Pulteney Bridge, the Abbey, the oldest house in Bath, and Bath's smallest pub!
You could finish the tour with tea or lunch in the elegant Pump Room and be entertained by classical musicians. There you can also sample the Spa water, as the Georgians did. (From Mon-Fri I can reserve a table in advance. )
I will tell you about life in Bath in the past and about present day Bath. I also have plenty of tips to help you enjoy the rest of your time in Bath.
If you would like to visit the Roman Baths please buy your tickets online so you can avoid waiting in line.
