Bandama half day experience. Lava and wine
In this tour, we will hike down to the very bottom of the crater that the last volcanic explosion left as a scar in Gran Canaria.
We will enjoy the landscapes, the geology and botany inside a volcanic crater!
To finish our half day trip with a good taste in your lips, we will visit a wine cellar where grapes are grown in a volcanic soil, using organic environmental friendly techniques.
Of course, we will try the local product as well as some tapas!
- From our meeting point to the Bandama volcanoes area.
Here we will start enjoying some panoramic views while we make a little briefing of our trip.
- The main activity will take place admiring the nature and culture hidden inside the volcanic crater.
To get there, we will walk about 1 hour and reach the bottom of the crater (if you have walking sticks they are helpful).
**VERY IMPORTANT: USE PROPER WALKING OR HIKING SHOES. NO FLIP FLOPS OR HIGH HEELS).
- Once we reach the lower crater, we will keep walking inside, in a circular path, before walking back to the start point in a moderate slope.
The way up is taking us another hour, but walking with no rush.
- Back to the starting point, we will use our vehicle to get to an ecologic vineyard plantation, in the middle of the recent volcanic materials.
You will have some local wine and tapas!
A complete volcanic morning!
