Bakhchisaray palace in oriental style is the most prominent monument of the Crimean Khanate, the national shrine for the Crimean Tatar people and the great achievement for the world culture.

Carved in the limestone rock Assumption Orthodox Monastery - one of the oldest ones in Crimea, late 8th - beginning of 9th century.

Chufut-Kale cave city is located not far from Bakhchisaray, on the plateau that towers 200 m above neighboring valleys and is limited with precipices up to 50 m high from three sides. This fortress dates back to the late 6th or 7th century as a Byzantine stronghold and populated with local tribes of the Alans, who were the allies of the Empire.

Today, Chufut-Kale presents the fortification system with defensive walls, southern and eastern gates, and towers; streets with narrow sidewalks, dwelling houses, praying houses of the Karaites, or "kenassas"; the mausoleum of the daughter of the khan Tokhtamysh; and cave constructions, which were carved for various purposes.

Meeting Location + Tour Duration

Meeting location: If you are coming to Sevastopol by ship I'll meet at cruise ship terminal, at a time that suits "YOU", you will not need to stand in line to be herded aboard a bus. I will be waiting in the parking area (as close to the ship terminal as it is only possible). I'll hold the card with your name in my hands and you'll recognise me easily. In case you are staying in one of city hotels we can meet at the reception at certain time.

End location: At the end of our tour I'll bring you back to the port or to the hotel.

I would recommend comfortable shoes and a scarf for women to cover their head while visiting Orthodox Assumption Monastery.

Duration: 7 hours
