Auschwitz concentration camp complex composed of Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II - Birkenau and Monowitz was the biggest of this kind established by the Nazis. It is located in the southern part of Poland about 60 km (about 35 miles) from Kraków and about 280 km from Warsaw. It is estimated that about 1. 1 million people were murdered there. The museum was created just after the war. The idea came from the former prisoners and was to show people what happened here in order not to repeat it in future.

Anna was very professional and timely, providing invaluable additional information and clarification. She highly recommended we see the Schindler Factory and inquired to see if there would be tickets that afternoon. She was right as we thoroughly found this tour to be very important to furthering our understanding of the Auschwitz/Birchenau camps. Highly recommend Anna.
