Family friendly, mythology-based, private tour at the Acropolis & the Acropolis Museum
A special tour that is addressed to both adults and children, who wish to discover and understand Ancient Greek History and Culture.
With the help of the thrilling and compelling myths of the Ancient Greeks, children and their parents can plunge into the waters of a mysterious and glorious world of Gods, Heroes and everyday people, who, with their deeds and words, forged Ancient Greek spirit.
Let the mythical rituals associated with Dionysus reveal to you the birth of Ancient Greek Drama, and search for the historical truth behind the stories about Theseus and the Trojan War. Discover the traces of the mythical battle between Athene and Poseidon next to the Acropolis Temples, and identify the legendary Giants, the legendary Amazons, the Centaurs and of course the celestial Olympian Gods in the statues and panels displayed in the Acropolis Museum.
The walk includes a tour in the archaeological site of the Acropolis Rock and the Acropolis Museum.
The visit at the sacred Acropolis Rock will focus on the Acropolis Temples and monuments (the Parthenon, the Erechteion, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, etc. ) and the monuments on the southern slope of the Acropolis (the Theatre of Dionysus, the Temple of Asklepios, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, etc).
The visit at the Acropolis Museum will focus on the highlights of the Museum, shedding light on the importance of the Archaic and the Parthenon Galleries.
Both visits at the Museum and the Acropolis will provide the occasion to discuss about the significance of ancient Greek legends and myths, as well as the influence of ancient Greek Religion upon the lives of the Ancient Greeks.
The tour can either start with the Acropolis or the Museum, depending on the weather conditions - and especially the heat - and the wishes of the guests. The duration of the tour can be flexible.

Panos is a very knowledgeable guide with great energy and patience. We were a family of 7,with 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 boys, ages 10, 8 and 5. He captured the interest of both the adults and children by tailoring his explanations to both age groups. By asking the boys direct questions, he kept them involved during both the visit to the Acropolis as well as the museum. I highly recommend Panos as a guide for all ages groups.
