Highlights of Greece
This 2 days trip is a wonderful itinerary in the land of Peloponese. Mycene, the home of king Agamemnon, 3. 500 years old, yielded 15 kilos of gold. The acropolis is haunted by the tragic stories of Atreus family.
At the end of the day, Nauplio is awaiting for a relaxing walk. It was the first capital of Greece and preserves entirely its 19th cent. greek style with some Venetian and Ottoman influences.
Next destination, ancient Olympia. In this green valley, the Olympic games were born. Zeus temple was one of the wonders of the world and the sculpture in the Museum proves it. Here is also the statue of Hemes by Praxiteles
Start from Athens, an hour drive to Corinth Canal-short break. One hour drive to Mycenae, visit of the site and the museum. Stop at Nauplio for lunch and a short visit of the town. Two and a half hours drive to Olynpia. Overnight. Visit ancient Olympia the next day, stop for lunch, optional visit of a local winery. Drive back to Athens (three and a half hours).

The type of transportation depends on your needs and on the number of guests. Mini van or mini bus is what we use in most of the cases, alternatively a taxi may be used. Professional driver.
