Sample Greek Cuisine while discovering the TOP Highlights of Athens!
This tour starts at the biggest square of Athens, called "Syntagma". That's where we attend the short ceremony of the changing of the guards in front of the greek house of parliament. We then continue with a stroll at the National Gardens of Athens, where we taste the most common snack of the Athenians at the daytime, called "Koulouri": tastes like fresh bread with lots of sesame seeds on it. During our walk, we"ll be passing by the Temple of Zeus and the Hadrian's Arch. We stop in a typical greek coffee place to taste a traditional Greek coffee with the so-called "sweets of the spoon". After that, we"ll be climbing up to the Acropolis Hill to visit the famous Parthenon and enjoy the panoramic view of Athens. We then walk down to Plaka (old town )and Monastiraki areas where we finish our tour with a delicious "gyro": slices of pork or chicken wrapped in a pitta bread with a garlic dip and potatoes in it!
