Are you ready for an adventure in the ancient world?
The Acropolis Museum is one of the world's most important museums, filled with a vast collection of beautiful objects from thousands of years ago, world-famous for its stunning Parthenon Marbles and for the unique way in which it displays them.
On this tour, we will explore the private and public lives of ancient Athenians by decoding the hidden messages contained within the artefacts they left behind, messages that reveal the secrets of their great long-vanished city.
On this tour, you'll discover that the Acropolis Museum is also home to two Athenians from the Golden Age of Athens, whose everyday lives you'll explore as you move through the exhibits. Their personal stories are hidden in the things they left behind, the artefacts that we encounter at the museum today. Each item has something to tell us − can you figure out what it is? And what do these stories, these lives, mean to us today?
I will be there to lead the way through the different galleries and to connect the past to the present through a series of fun activities that will let you discover more about what ancient life was really like.

Danae arranged a special trip to Eleusis, off the beaten track, and her knowledge of the the archaeology, myths and history of the site was excellent. She could explain this complex site and its Mysteries in a way you could understand. Her expertise also brought the museum visits to life. She is an excellent guide to the Greek ancient history and archeology, talking about features easily so you can understand what was going on back then.
