After lunch we can move up to the Eremo to see the Cluster and the hill where St. Francis was in touch with God. The Eremo is a small hermitage in a steep forest gorge at the Monte Subasio . At a stone bridge the oak still exists, in the branches of which birds were living, whom S. Francis had preached to, as the legend tells. Excellent tour, Mauro couldn't have been more accommodating. Modified tour itinerary to include some optional sites which we also wanted to see. It was as though Mauro was actually a member of our family group except for the fact that he had a wealth of information to impart. Will definitely request Mauro's services when we return to Italy in the future. Tours by Locals private tours wasfinitely the way to go to maximize our group's experience.
