Visit an Ancient Estate, Soller and Deià
In Palma we will visit the historical area and the magnificent Seu. Leaving Palma behind we will head north to visit the estate of Alfabia. Of Arab origin, Alfabia predates the 13th century Christian conquest and gives us an excellent idea of how a rural farm was run. On to Soller, a unique Mediterranean town with French influences. Time to do some shopping OR visit Can Prunera, a Modernist home and now a contemporary art museum.
In the months of October to December this tour can be revised to visit an olive oil press to see the olives arrive, how they are cleaned and pressed into liquid gold, enjoy a tasting of extra virgen olive oil and of local products. Afterwards, we will drive along the Mediterranean coast until we reach the village of Deià, to this day a magnet for artists. On our way back to Palma we will drive through the town of Valldemossa before returning to ship.
