a paradise in a jewel box
Brussels, the birthplace of art nouveau, has some of the best examples of this stunning architectural style, which flourished briefly in the late 19th century and spread throughout Europe.
This walking tour will show you many of the most important and interesting buildings in the art nouveau style, including Victor Horta's own residence, now the Horta Museum (at least three facades are discussed in detail). I will show you the difference between playful art nouveau and the more rigid art deco.
No interiors are visited.
I can create a customized tour for you in case you have special requests or if you are more than 10 people.

Anneke was very punctual, informative and nice! She finally gave some historical background for the city I had a chance to see before. This was a surprise tour for husband, who had been to Drussels like 50 times for work, but never had a chance to see anything but train stations, hotels and offices. He really enjoyed it so this was a nice surprise for him and enjoyable time for me!
