Kid Friendly: No. The reason why the tour is not suitable for kids is the wine tasting at the end and also the presence of many "fragile", expensive bottles in the winery.
But if you have quiet kids...

Friendly: No.
Some steps in the workshops, located in very old buildings, make this tour a bit difficult for wheelchairs. However, I can customize your visit, choosing other workshops and making it suitable for people with mobility issues.

Florence: Past and Present

There is a long-standing tradition of fine craftsmanship in Florence dating back to the Middle Ages. The artistry, that had produced the outstanding monuments and works of art in past and visited by millions and millions of travellers today, can still be appreciated in the small workshops of the industrious Florentine artisans.

A walking tour along that line linking past with the present, a walk through beauty and refinement ending in front of a glass of wine . . . can you taste Florence without tasting its wine?

We start with a famous workshop of Commesso Fiorentino (inlay of semiprecious stones), then we walk to Piazza San Lorenzo to see the Medici Palace and San Lorenzo, "the Medici's church"(outside).
We continue with Piazza della Repubblica, where the old Roman Forum was located, then Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge) and nearby we visit a traditional Goldsmith-Jewelry Workshop.
We go on walking to Piazza Signoria and finally to Piazza del Duomo where we have a wine tasting of three renowned Tuscan wines: Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano with Bruschetta and cold cuts, in a famous winery.

* If the workshops mentioned in the itinerary are closed for any reason, they will be replaced by the visit of a Leather Factory in Santa Croce, in that case, the tour will be a bit longer in time.
