Roman heritage of Provence, between charm and fascination
The city of Arles has been named « the little Rome » due to its importance during the Roman era. Seven monuments from Antiquity and Medieval times listed at the World heritage patrimony are awaiting you along a surprising walking tour with us.
Strolling in the most typical provencal city it's walking on the foot steps of Van Gogh, and you will feel the presence of the deutsch master at every corner.
After a drive through vineyards and olive gardens you will reach another testimony of the Roman civilization: Le Pont du Gard.
The world most famous aquaduc is impressive in itself, but together we will understand its history, its engineering, its use and its incredible destiny through two millennium of history!
We will start with a guided tour of Arles, on the footsteps of Van Gogh, passing the roman heritage, the medieval buildings and the palaces of the post renaissance period.
You will of course enjoy some free time in the city.
We will drive the wonderful countryside of Provence passing many vineyards and villages.
Visit of the Pont du Gard (entrance included in the price) with a promenade by the river.
