A MUST Deluxe experience!

In this tour we will go from the coast of Gran Canaria to the central Sacred Mountains, recently designed UNESCO World Heritage, mainly because of its archaeology.
We will visit Bentayga, one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island, located in the most dramatic landscapes, the central mountains.
Apart from archaeology we will have the chance to visit lovely picturesque villages, try local gastronomy and wine, and, after the sun goes down over the mountains, we will stay out to do some stargazing, enjoying legends and constellations!
Long, intense, informative, complete, authentic. . . a MUST experience!
In the words of Miguel de Unamuno, the former principal of the oldest University in Spain, in Salamanca: "You cannot be considered a traveller in Gran Canaria if you leave the island without visiting its Mountains"

Itinerary

Depending on where you stay on the island we will choose one road or another to go up to the central Mountains. We will stop a couple of times on our way up for you to stretch your legs and take some pictures!
Once we are in the Central Mountains we will visit Bentayga archaeological site. There is a visitors centre, and we have the chance to walk on a 30 min hike to the indigenous altar of the site, considered a solar marker (the walk involves uneven terrain and a bit of a slope. Not long but medium difficulty. YOU MUST WEAR PROPER CLOSED WALKING SHOES, NO FLIP FLOPS OR HIGH HEELS)
Once we are delighted with the inmense beauty of the site we will head towards Tejeda and Artenara, where we will taste local gastronomy and local wine
If weather conditions are good, we will enjoy the sunset over the mountians (mindblowing. . . ) and we will delight ourselves with our nightsky. What else can you ask for?
