Walking tour of medieval Palermo!
The Arab - Byzantine - Norman Tour will take you to discover one of the latest UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sicily (July 2015). We will walk through the old town discovering the Martorana Church, the San Cataldo Church, the Cathedral of Palermo, with its royal and imperial burials, and the Royal Palace with its stunning Palatine Chapel. A taste of what the Norman monarchy of the Hautevilles created and left in Palermo.
The main attractions are the Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria, Martorana Church, San Cataldo walk by the Ballarò Street Market to reach the Cathedral of Palermo. Lunch will be at a local Bar where they serve delicious palermitan food. After that we'll visit the Royal Palace and its unique Palatine Chapel. Part of the palace may be closed to the public because of parliament sessions.
