Get to know the person behind the tour

St John's, Antigua and Barbuda

Welcome to Antigua and Barbuda! I am pleased to tell you about me!

I am not only knowledgeable about my island's cultural and natural heritage. . . am passionate about showcasing it to others! I wont bombard you with an onslaught of facts, dates and names! My tours are expressly designed to be informative, interactive and entertaining.

My flair for the spoken and written word allows me to cleverly weave history with storytelling to stimulate your imagination so as to give you a most rewarding experience. The intent is for us to together draw parallels and make inferences and connections based on the facts that are presented. Come with me and allow yourself to be taken beyond the 'general tourist gaze' and into the culturescape of our beautiful island. My unique presentation style is sure to take you from just 'seeing', 'viewing' and 'contemplating' to 'experiencing', 'participating', and 'learning'.

Antigua's numerous sugar mills, old estates and estate houses, old sugar factories, quaint villages and historic churches, sunken ships, forts, naval outposts and feted shoreline not only tell of our illustrious colonial past but also supply a fertile ground that forever arouses my imagination! In every historical fact learned, there are countless narratives that beg to be told! My penchant for human interest stories is insatiable, so whenever I visit our celebrated Nelson's Dockyard at English Harbour questions such as these bombard my mind:
. with whom did Nelson socialise since he was so hated locally?
. how is it that many Antiguans from the English Harbour district
are normally of a lighter skin complexion with curly hair?
. how did those early workmen get the huge boulders up without
modern technology?

Come and experience my unique tour guiding style and have a blast! Tourguiding allows me to explore worlds of words and stories! I grew up loving radio (a time when our father was my TV!). . . He could tell 20 versions of one story and we always were in awe! Not a bad idea, huh?. . . . . marrying history with storytelling?.

I can't wait to meet you here!
