An underground town
Contrary to the popular name, locals refer to this place as the "The underground town of Camerano" and not Camerano Caves. Firstly because the tunnels we will explore are man-made, not natural. Secondly, because they were developed in parallel to the town of Camerano, like a mirrored image.
Deep underground, these tunnels were once a meeting place for worship. Knights of Malta and Knights Templar would meet down here, traveling through the same secret rooms and passageways that we will explore together, taking us from one part of the town to the another.
A Medieval castle under the earth.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! Ivonne picked me up at my hotel and we drove to Camerano's Caves which was beautiful beyond words! I have been in caves before, but nothing as fascinating and full of history as these. Ivonne's knowledge is very impressive and her English is perfect. After the tour we stopped in at a local shop for espresso and I was also able to pick up some wine from a shop which I never would have discovered on my own. An excellent tour with a wonderful guide!
