A little bit about me. I'm originally from Castlemaine, a small town just outside Melbourne, Australia, I visited Italy for the first time when I was 14 years old and fell in love with its history and people. My desire to live in Italy and become a tour guide in the magnificent city of Rome was born. After a year as an exchange student Turin in 1997, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Roman history & Italian from the University of Melbourne in 2001.
For over 10 years I remained in Australia, working in a variety of management roles in publishing and advertising for companies such as News Corporation primarily working with large fashion & design clients and additionally completed my Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney in 2011. But the desire to move to Italy never left.
In 2013 I decided to take the plunge and moved to Rome to follow my dream and am now official, licenced guide of Rome (one of the few native English speakers with the official licences for Rome and the Vatican City).
I live with my partner, his two beautiful children, and our cat Matilda in a small suburb just by the Vatican City.
I love mixing my tours with interesting facts, ancedotes, different perspectives and indeed humour! Nothing worse than a dry, facts-based only tour! My desire is for every client I guide to walk away having thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have the desire to learn and see more of this magnificient city.
Please note I specialise in customising tours for my clients. Please don't hesitate to send me a message with your requirements.
