Born and raised in Amsterdam. Tours by car and walking.
Besides my 20 years experience in tourism, I am one of the few guides in the Netherlands officially qualified 'With Honor' for the only valid diploma 'National Guide'.
I would be honoured to have the opportunity to show you the places in the Netherlands that you want to see. Therefore, please tell me what you are interested in and I will propose you a tour. This can be a tour along the highlights of Amsterdam, or a specific interest tour like Dutch art, sport, local culture, the history of Holland, the life of Anne Frank in Amsterdam, the Royal family, Vincent van Gogh, Dutch golden age painters, Jewish heritage in the Netherlands or any other theme.
On my page you can find some tour programs but all my tours can be tailormade. We can do the tour by (very good and clean) car, walking, public transport or a combination. I can pick you up from any point and bring you back to your hotel, or cruise ship when you are looking for a shore excursion during your cruise. We can do a half day tour, a full day, a multi-day tour or just a short tour of two hours.
It all starts with sending me a message. I look foward to meeting you!
A Recent Review of this guide
My family and I were very fortunate to have Vincent lead us on a very informative tour of beautiful Amsterdam! He was so easy to work with and very responsive to my many questions as well as being very flexible when at the last minute, we asked to move the starting time of our tour earlier. Vincent has a great love and knowledge of the history of Amsterdam which made us really appreciate what he was showing us all the more! Thanks Vincent for sharing your great city with us!!
Besides my experience as incoming touroperator, incoming DMC (Destination Management Company) and as a tourguide (more than 10 years), I do have the relevant diplomas.
MIRT (incoming travel and tourism Netherlands), ASR Amsterdam
National Guide Netherlands Cum Laude, ROCVA Amsterdam.
Tourism management, RTC Tralee Ireland
I do guide in museums where that is allowed, such as the Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandthouse, Rijksmuseum, Frans Hals museum, Mauritshouse. I have a lot of knowledge about the Dutch history, but please do note that I am not an art historian.
