I've graduated in public administration at Leiden University. I have a big passion for history since I was a teenager and developed a strong interest in European painting and it's history in the last 15 years.
I've been doing tours in and around Amsterdam for over 13 years. After all these years I still discover new things in Amsterdam and find out new things about it's history, which makes it such a great place.
I provide tours of Amsterdam, it's surroundings (flower fields in April, countryside, windmills, Brussels). I do tours on foot, on ordinary bikes, on my rickshaw, by minivan and if preferred so in combinations of walking and by boat or minivan. Amsterdam is great and unique. Besides the things most people associate with it, there is a lot else you might not have noticed before or read about.
Of course I will customize tours. So if you have specific interests or you would like to combine elements of several tours please let me know and I will make a customized proposal.
I'm a traveler myself. I have been traveling to the USA, India, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, China and a lot of places in Europe. I'm always curious to discover new places and meet people from all over the world, which is a great advantage of my work.
I hope you will enjoy our great, unique city!
