So little time, so much to eat!
Amsterdam Private Food Tours:
Want to eat Amsterdam but are a bit short of time? This condensed food tour could be to your taste. In this food tour I've boiled it all down to my Amsterdam 'must eats'. It was quite a challenge to decide on my eating essentials - those delicious typically Dutch or typically Amsterdam foods that I just couldn't live without.
And of course along with those 'must eats' you'll get lots of those 'must see' views of our beautiful canals as well as the 'must do' of visiting the most famous market in the country.
If you have more time, please see my most popular tour #40033 Local Delicatessen, Speciality Producers and Stores, The Daily Market
We meet in one of the main squares in the old city centre and start by visiting speciality food stores, tasting along the way. We spend about 1 hour in this area.
A short walk of about 7 minutes brings us to the biggest and best known market in the country where we spend about 1 hour and of course have a couple of snacks here too.
We finish at the market where you can stay and browse or you can walk back to the starting point with me where you can pick up a tram or taxi. The stroll back takes about 15 minutes. Of course I will help you get to your next destination.
There's plenty to eat on this tour so bring your apetitie.

Estimated Local Cash Needed
25 Euro - 25 Euro - All tastings are included in the tour price, however, many of my clients like to buy things along the way, either for themselves or as gifts for friends and family. So, its really up to you if you wish to make extra purchases. You may also need some local currency to pay for transport to and from our meeting point. Note that most shops take credit cards (although few accept AMEX), the market is mostly cash.
Transport to the meeting point, should you require.
- I don't have my own transport and so only do walking tours in the centre of Amsterdam.
- I don't offer tours that include museum visits.
- I don't offer tours to the tulip fields
