Um Qais, Jerash & Ajloun Full Day Private Tour
The north of Jordan is very rich in history, from Um Qais the capital of Gilead's, sitting at the summit of Um Qais mountains comfortably overlooking the Golan heights on the Syrian side, and The Sea Of Galilei on the west side of it, an amazing place made of the mixture of lime and basalt stones creating an unbelievable contrast, the church, fountains, baths and the stunning views from Jesus's cave.
A little to the south, is Jerash the most preserved Roman site ever, Antioch, Pompeii of the east, whatever name you choose you will still be taken away by the beauty of the temples, The Cardo, the city with 1000 pillars is an apple for the eye, 35 Km's north west is Ajloun and castle like no other, I will leave you to the views on top of the castle with the evergreen landscape and the amazingly maintained waterways and maybe some of that northern pine scented breeze to make you feel new as rain.
leave Amman early to get to Um Qais after 2 hours drive and visit Um Qais for 1:30 minutes,
drive through the Jordan Valley to get to the castle of Ajloun after 1 hour drive, visit the castle for an hour, then drive about 40 minutes to get to Jerash, visit Jerash for 2 hours and head back to Amman late afternoon.
