Private Tour of the Ancient Pompeii from the port of Amalfi and traditional lunch on the Amalfi Coast
The unforgettable beauty of the Amalfi Drive, a guided walking tour of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and a delicious and "real" lunch in a village on top of the cliff of the Amalfi Drive. A shore Excursion designed for those that do not want to miss the highlights from the port of Amalfi, but that also like to enjoy a relaxing moment to meet local culture and cuisine.
From Amalfi we are driving to Pompeii via Vietri, so to enjoy the most spectacula views of the Coast. We will drive across several little mediterranean villages spread along the Amalfi Drive.
Once in Pompeii, the walking tour will be tuned upon your request and people attitude: however I always try to show the highlights and one example for each tipology of building you have in the Ancient Town. I will also provide a reservation for an exclusive place if I find slot available on the day of your tour. Certanly we will see the Forum and the Plaster mouldings made of people that were killed during the eruption.
Lunch will take place in Agerola (2000 ft above sea level), where you really find local cuisine away from the main touristic itineraries. It will consists of several antipasto (such as prosciutto, bruschette, grilled veggie etc), a main pasta dish, a fruit salad (water and wine included). Once back in Amalfi I will lead a short orientation tour if there is enough time.

Fabrizio was prompt and well prepared. He mapped out our day allowing us just the right amount of time to see Amalfi and Ravello before heading to Pompeii. He was extremely well versed in the local community and the history of the sites we visited. He gave us enough time to enjoy a stroll through the two cities and a yummy lunch at a local restaurant. He sensed the desired pace of our group and catered our visit to Pompeii to our interests. I HIGHLY recommend him!
