The cheese market is very busy and I will drop you off at the corner of the market and pick you up after a proposed time.

We will visit the famous Friday morning cheese market in Alkmaar, the commercial centre of North Holland since the middle-ages.
Than drive trough the World Heritage Site of the 17th century polder The Beemster, visit the Schermerhorn collection of watermills where a 10 minute film tells us all about the Dutch struggle against the water.
Climb to the top of the old mill!
We'll lunch in the old whalers town De Rijp in "Het Wapen van Munster" est. in 1648, where they serve good food and we can see the local church with its special stained glass windows.
Next we will visit Marken, until 1953 an isolated island, where some women still wear traditional dresses and the families live in tiny wooden houses.
From here you can take the boat to Volendam where we can have a drink in the famous Hotel Spaander with its collection of 1500 paintings of the artists that stayed there.
