I have been working for some of the most important North American Tour Operators as a Tour Manager since 2007 leading tours all over Italy. I became a certified Tour Guide in Piemonte in 2011. I work in the Province of Cuneo (Alba, Barolo being the most popular destinations) and around Asti. I lead food tours and walking tour in Turin as well. I am here to welcome visitors who decide to explore a corner of Italy less known than other regions, with so much to offer: medieval castles, Gothic and Baroque churches, hills and mountains with many stories to be revealed. I like focusing my adventures around culinary experiences with food tastings, cooking demonstrations, meeting local people who prepare local food. This is a great approach to understand the local culture, mixing it with our history, geology and traditions. I believe more and more people are looking for activities that connect them with the destination: that's why I try my best to provide full experiences where my guests can see, taste, feel how locals live.
A Recent Review of this guide
Marco was an excellent guide. As we visited different towns and historical sites, he shared his knowledge of the area's culture and history and provided much more than simply a wine tour. However I would also mention, the wine aspect of our afternoon was terrific. We visited a family owned winery that has been making wine for well over 100 years. The experience touring the winery and in the tasting room was definitely a highlight. We only had 1/2 a day, but it was a great value.
