An Exciting Tour for those who Love Christmas and the Country Side
This tour will answer the question whether Christmas is only in December in Iceland. The answer is no. During the dark time of the winter, Christmas is a very important holiday in the northern part of Iceland and the locals do a lot of decorations and party activities. I like to take you to the Christmas house, open all year around, located in the valley of Eyjafjörður, south of Akureyri town. You can find there some local Christmas food, candy, Christmas decorations and friendly people. You can also visit the next door Back Yard store, selling goods for the citchen and some small things suitable as gifts at home in the end of the journey. From there we will stop and have a peek at one of many swimming pools in Iceland. Every village has one.
Our last stop on the tour is one of the biggest and most modern cow-farms in Iceland, where we can enjoy coffee while the cows enjoy their hey and the modern technology of milking. After the stop we head back to Akureyri- town with a short sight-seeing through the city
