A private tour, discovering past and present
While sitting in a Baqlava shop, eating sweet Kenafe and enjoying aromatic coffee or mint tea, one cannot imagine that under feet lays another city.
But a few minutes later, and a few steps down - as if through a 'time tunnel' - one is transferred into a middle ages city, where you can imagine knights in full armor dueling in the streets, and young damsels in silk gowns roam majestic halls.
Here, like in old times, you'll find a cosmopolitan mixture of a rich, colorful market, loaded with merchandise, hummus shops, cheap shoes and Arabic costumes, along with a mixture of inhabitants and buyers: native Israelis, Russians, Arabs, and tourists from all around the globe.
Oriental, vibrant and colorful - on the ground.
Dark, impressive and Mystery-laden - underneath.
That's Akko - Where east and west meet.
We will visit the Knights Halls, and the Templar Tunnel, as well as the nowadays market and alleys of the old city. we'll look into the modern as well as middle-ages history of Old Akko.
