Apuseni Natural Park is definitely one of the most beautiful and spectacular places in Romania.
Well known for the large number of interesting caves such as Scarisoara Ice Cave, or the most imposing and splendid limestone karst formations in Romania such as Cetatile Ponorului (Fortresses of Ponor).
No doubt, it is a place worth visiting! One will find here gorges, waterfalls, impressive rock walls, water caves and ice caves, to name just a few of the wonders from Apuseni.
This is one of those places where you will instantly fall in love with nature. And it will be forever. Curious already? If so, you're in for a real treat.

Itinerary

Day 1:
We are heading to the heart of Apuseni Natural Park. Visiting the karst plateau called Lumea Pierduta(The Lost World) with the most impressive vertical caves in the area.
Day 2:
Galbenei Gorges Circuit. Focul Viu ice cave (The Living Fire), then cross the wild Galbena Gorge. The crossing through the Gorges is done on cables.
Day 3: Padis plateau. A beautiful journey through mountains, beautiful meadows with horses, cows. At Padis, some peasants, shepherds, will wait for us with cheese, pies, milk and a warm smile.
Day 4:
For today we have the famous Cetatile Ponorului Circuit (Fortresses of Ponor). Amazing viewpoints, crossing Cetatile Ponorului Cave and cables, of course!
Day 5:
Heading to Ghetari village, with two stops: Groapa Ruginoasa (Ruginoasa Canyon), which is an unique phenomenon and Patrahaitesti hamlet
Day 6:
Casa de Piatra hamlet and Ghetarul Vartop cave, a nature monument
Day 7:
Today we'll visit the famous Scarisoara Ice Cave and the glacier inside it.
End of the tour.
