From Bariloche to San Martín via 7 Lakes and back to Bariloche via Valle Encantado
Two-day tour.
Day 1: We leave Bariloche to take Route 40 direction north, bordering the huge Nahuel Huapi Lake. First we will arrive to Villa La Angostura, a gorgeous alpine-style village, where we can stop for lunch. From there we will continue to San Martin de los Andes, passing by lakes Correntoso, Espejo, Villarino, Falkner, Hermoso, Machónico and Lácar along the way. We will stop at several viewpoints to have great views of the lakes. Night in San Martín de los Andes
Day 2: We go back to Bariloche, but instead of taking the 7 Lakes Route again we will detour to go by Meliquina and Filo Hua Hum lakes. From there we will go by the Cordoba Pass through the "Enchanted Valley", the valley of Traful and Limay Rivers, which is surrounded by wonderful rock formations of volcanic origin. After passing by the confluence of theses two rivers we will continue along Limay River to Bariloche by a wonderful steppe landscape with the mountain range on the background. We will arrive in Bariloche in the afternoon.
Itinerary
Leaving Bariloche we take the Route 40 to Villa La Angostura. doing some stops along the way.
Once in Villa La Agostura we stop to walk by the town center and the harbors by the lake. We can have lunch there ina nice place with great views of the Nahuel Huapi Lake.
After lunch we take the Seven Lakes Route to San Martín de los Andes, passinng by Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, Falkner, Hermoso, Machónico and Lácar, plus the Vullingñanco Waterfall. We will arrive to San Martín in the afternoon so you still have some time to explore the town center.
The second day we will take the Seven Lakes Route again but soon detour to Meliquina Lake.
After Meliquina Lake we will visit Filo Hua Hum Lake and then continue to the Cordoba Pass, where we will see the amazing rock formation of the "Enchanted Valley".
From the Cordoba pass we will go down by the Traful river to reach is confluence with Limay River. We will stop there and then continue by the Limay River to arrive to Bariloche in the afternoon.

End location: I will leave you in your hotel in Bariloche.

Read More Reviews For This TourJose was our guide for two complete days at Bariloche . First day was around the seven lakes , at each one , we got a very detailed explanation of the views , like animals and different plants species . We stayed at each view point as much as we liked , there was no rush. Second day also was full of scenic views , starting on top of the hills of San Martin De Los Andes , from this point we saw the bay view , it was wonderful . It was also an absolute experience .
