Private Paris walking tour, departing from your hotel or metro Hotel de Ville
I will meet you at your hotel (in Paris) and will be with you for a 3 hours walking tour, which is enough to cover the historical Paris (old center, Notre Dame, Marais, Jewish streets, Saint Germain, Luxembourg gardens, Latin Quarter, both islands) - We will cover fascinating parts of both the right and left banks of the river. We can also meet at Metro station "Saint Paul".
All of this for just 249 USD !
My focus is more on the beauty of the city and fun annecdotes than on pure historical facts and dates. Revolution, Romans, WWII, and Kings are of course part of the tour, but not at the center of it.
We'll stop at a nice Parisian café for an expresso or if you prefer and if weather permits, for a refreshing ice-cream from Bertillon's. You control the tour!
I also offer a full day version, with one extra hour for free. It's tour number #114412.
Anywhere in Paris. I usually start the tour with a quick discussion : What have you seen so far? What section of the city are you the most interested in ? (Historical center? Shopping areas? Western more recent Haussmann-style buildings. . . )
In three hours, we can focus on one or two neighborhoods, for example: We can see both islands, the Marais Jewish area, and the Latin Quarter. This option allows to talk about our history: Revolution, Noblemen, Middle-ages, famous kings, Romans settlers, beheadings and Marie-Antoinette. As we browse through history, we also see beautiful monuments such as Notre Dame, Place des Vosges, Hotel de Ville, Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon, Sorbonne University, Sainte Chapelle and Saint-Germain-des-Pres church.

20 euros - Metro tickets are 2 euros, day travel cards are 8 euros.
I can enter museums, taking you to the essential pieces, but I won't give commentary on the art. For that sort of art-focused tours, I would rather you hired one of my licensed colleagues on ToursByLocal and rather use me for outdoor city walks. Thanks!

David was great! He was very accommodating when our flight was late. It was our first morning in Paris and he oriented us well to the city. He was full of interesting facts. We learned so much about history, architecture and culture of the city. Excellent suggestions for non touristy restaurants! Because of what we learned with David, the rest of our time was so much better. We highly recommend David and this tour!
