Explore the birthplace of the Renaissance
Come visit the iconic sites of one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world with me. Though it began as a modest Roman agricultural colony in 59 BC, Florence burgeoned into the city that's recognized as "the heart of the Renaissance" and the birthplace of artistic, architectural, scientific, and literary milestones that changed the world forever.
Our three-hour exploration of Florence's historic center will also include some fascinating surprises!
The itinerary order will depend on our starting point, but will include external visits of the following sites:
- Piazza della Repubblica
- The Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore / Florence Cathedral)
- The Baptistery of St. John
- Loggia of the New Market / Loggia del Porcellino
- Piazza della Signoria
- Palazzo Vecchio
- Uffizi Gallery
- Ponte Vecchio
- Orsanmichele (internal visit, if opening hours and mass schedule permit entry)
