Zip Line & Belize Zoo - Shore Excursion

The zip-line tour features an intricate harness system of pulleys on horizontal traverse cables which lets you swing 100 - 124 feet between platforms 70 feet high in the trees at canopy level. This portion of the tour begins with a ten minute hike through the Belize rainforest to the starting platform; the next 30 - 40 minutes are spent flying through the forest with the birds - a truly unforgettable experience! Once at the final platform, you rappel 40 feet to the forest floor. A tasty buffet is served at the end of the tour. Belize Zoo A sanctuary for the country's indigenous species, the Belize Zoo was first created for animals which were injured or donated to the facility and which could not be returned to the wild. The Belize Zoo is home to an impressive array of Large Cats, Primates, Reptiles and Birds. This gives you the opportunity of viewing Belize's prolific wildlife in one location. Then it's on to see the "city sights" of Belize City.
