Xibalba (The underworld of the Mayan gods). Walk and swim through caves and go snorkeling in an ancient natural Mayan harbor. Observe animals in the jungle and in the water. Have a real Mexican lunch (Tacos) and learn a lot about nature and the history of Yucatan.
Visit a spectacular cave that is more than 5 million years old with a great variety of stalactites, stalagmites and columns.
After leaving the caves you'll have a walk through Aktunchen's 6 acres area of wildlife zoo.
Have a real adventure at Rancho Santa Cruz where you'll have a short jungle walk of 15 minutes, with some explanations about the flora of the jungle, to the cave entrance. Wearing your bathing suit you'll descend 10 feet into the Underworld of the Mayan Gods, a cave system. With a hard hat on your head and a waterproof flashlight in your hand you begin an underground trek of 45 min. partly through underground rivers.
Go snorkeling in the lagoon of Yalkoo. Beside the exotic fish, you may observe the occasional manta ray or turtle. |
